Is Expence free?
The app is free to download. A one-time purchase unlocks it permanently across all your devices after a short free trial — no subscriptions, no ads, ever.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. There's no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start adding expenses straight away.
Where is my data stored?
On your device — and, when you're signed into iCloud, kept privately in sync across your devices through your own iCloud account. Expence runs no servers of its own and never sees your data; it stays entirely within your control.
Can I track my income too?
No, and that's by design. Expence is intentionally spending-only, so it stays focused on one thing: showing you clearly where your money goes.
How do I add an expense?
Tap the add button, type the amount, choose a category, and save — two or three taps. The date defaults to today, and you can add an optional note.
How do I edit or delete an expense?
Tap any expense in the list to edit it. To remove one, swipe it left and tap delete.
How do budgets work?
In the Budgets screen you can set an overall monthly limit and optional per-category limits. Expence shows your progress against each and gives a gentle nudge as you approach a limit.
Do my expenses sync across my devices?
Yes. Expence syncs privately through your own iCloud account, so your expenses stay up to date across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac automatically — with no Expence account and nothing extra to set up. Just make sure each device is signed into the same iCloud account.
Can I export my data?
Yes. From Settings you can export all of your expenses as a
CSV or PDF file and share or save it wherever you like.Which devices and versions are supported?

Your data stays yours
Expence collects no data. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. Your expenses live on your device and sync only through your own private iCloud account — Expence operates no servers and cannot see your data. Any export is something you start and control yourself.
No personal information is gathered, sold, or shared with anyone.
